"I am a pleased to serve as a board member of Magnolia Women’s Recovery Program to aid in furthering the important work of the program. Experts have said for years that the damage done in families plagued by substance abuse and violence have a self perpetuating aspect. One generation passes along the pain to the next.

Magnolia Women’s Recovery Program steps into the space between the mother and her child to interrupt that vicious cycle of abuse and self destruction and seeks to empower the clients to grow into stable productive members of the community. The needs of both the mother and the child are addressed to promote reunification as well as end the cycle for the family. I get great personal satisfaction from working to further the reach of such a vital program."

"I began supporting Magnolia as a donor about seven years ago, and joined the Board of Directors two years ago. With 25 years of experience managing small businesses, the past eight years have been working specifically in the Nonprofit Sector. I am currently working as Director of Finance and Administration, North America, for The Climate Group, Inc, an International Nonprofit Org focused on solving global warming. I am also a successful single parent of three healthy adult children, thanks in large part to my own recovery of sixteen years.

My role at Magnolia is Board Treasurer/CFO. The reason I give of my energy, time and money is because I strongly believe the women that come into the program deserve to have the resources and support required to become physically, spiritually, and emotionally healthy, and to experience the joy of self-love and motherhood. Only when a woman truly understands her own beauty and worth can she become a productive member of society and a healthy role model for her children. Magnolia offers women a safe place to heal, overcome their self-destructive behavior and move fully into self-love."
